Michael Jordan and Neymar Jr. share a mutual respect that transcends sports, countries, and languages. Neymar Jr. grew up a fan of the man and the brand, while Jordan appreciates Neymar Jr.’s style on and off the pitch. Now, as part of a unique Nike/Jordan collaboration, Neymar Jr. becomes the first football (soccer) athlete to feature the Jumpman on his performance product. Additionally, the Jordan Brand will release a Neymar edition of the Air Jordan 5 Low with “Neymar” stitched inside the tongue.
The Neymar x Air Jordan 5 Low will feature cement speckling as the base, Reflect Silver accents, a splash of Infrared 23, and a black midsole to contrast the traditional icy bottom. Other special features include alternate PE branding of ’23’ on one foot and Neymar’s ’10’ on the other while his logo is displayed prominently on the insole behind the Jumpman graphic.
The release will come housed in a special edition Neymar x Air Jordan box completely dress in Infrared with Black speckled detailing and both the Neymar and Jumpman logo on the side and top of the box.
How comfortable are Air Jordan 5s?
On a scale of 1-10, I would rate the Jordan 5, 7.5 in terms of comfort. The Jordan 5 silhouette may be heavy, but they’re extremely soft inside, and the tongue is thick and cushiony. For this reason, I would recommend them for those long days when you’re constantly on your feet.
How do you care for Air Jordan 5s?
The Air Jordan 5 is made from nubuck leather; to keep them clean, I spray them with a sneaker protector before wearing them outside. After wearing them, I remove any dirt using a nubuck brush and return them to their original box, mainly so they don’t get dusty.
